RADGames, Inc. Responds to Complaint by Hasbro, Inc.

Creators of "Super Add-Ons™" fight for right to make product

PETERBOROUGH, NH, March 1, 2005Calling the claim "baseless", RADGames, Inc. responded to a suit filed by Hasbro, Inc. over the new board game "Super Add-Ons", specifically the version for Monopoly ® . The "Super Add-Ons" game was launched to widespread popular acclaim at the American International Toy Fair™ 2005 held in New York this past month. The patented add-on game board, placed inside of the original real estate trading game, offers a new level of play and excitement with additional properties, utilities, and action cards.

"Our game has a unique look and feel, with brand-new moves and action cards," said RADGames co-founder Robert Wilkins. "In developing our 'Super Add-Ons'' game, our creative team worked in tandem with copyright and trademark attorneys, using extreme care not to violate anyone’s rights. We were upfront with Hasbro and went as far as to show them a prototype prior to Toy Fair. This demonstrated our willingness to work in conjunction with them. Instead, Hasbro has chosen to file a baseless legal action. This is a clear example of the big corporation trying to stifle the little guy." Wilkins pointed out several other industries where companies manufacture products to augment existing ones. "Designers make patterned covers for cell phones, companies make after-market parts and accessories for automobiles. No one needs to ask the manufacturer's permission to add-on." RADGames is confident it will prevail on the Hasbro claim and will be able to sell its product in the near future.

The concept of "Super Add-Ons" has its roots back in 1974. While playing the famous real estate property trading game at twelve years old, Wilkins became frustrated as he approached his opponents’ strings of houses and hotels. Another way around the properties needed to be created. With cardboard, paper and glue, Bob and his friends built a companion board to the original game. Nearly 30 years later, the concept for the game resurfaced and was further developed by Bob and two fellow game enthusiasts.

RADGames holds two patents on the game, including one for its revolutionary "board within a board" concept. RADGames expects the "Super Add-Ons TM" game to be available in select toy stores and gift shops this upcoming holiday season. Two additional games are currently under development.

RADGames Inc., founded in 1996, is a privately-held company based in Peterborough, NH.
