RADGames Introduces "Super Add-Ons™" Board Game at
American International Toy Fair™ 2005
Super Add-Ons™ Monopoly® Version offers a new level of play
and excitement for Hasbro’s Monopoly® Real Estate Trading Game.
PETERBOROUGH, NH, February 9, 2005 – RADGames, Inc. announced today that it will debut its "Super Add-Ons™" line of board games at the American International Toy Fair™ 2005, held in New York’s Jacob K. Javits Center, from Feb. 20 - 23. The first product in the series is entitled “Super Add-Ons™” Monopoly® Version. The patented board game add-on, played in conjunction with existing board games, is placed inside of the original real estate trading game (made and sold by Hasbro independently of RADGames), offering a whole new level of play and excitement with additional properties, utilities, and action cards.
Co-founder Robert Wilkins stated, "The Super Add-Ons™ concept takes the best of the original games on the market today, and adds more fun and challenge. Super Add-Ons™ Monopoly® Version has new properties to trade, buy, and sell, plus some unique action spaces to liven up the play. For example, landing on "Subway" allows you to travel to any space of your choosing. This feature speeds up the game, and can really turn the tide for someone who's running out of luck – and money."
The concept of the Super Add-Ons™ game has its roots back in 1974. While playing the famous real estate property trading game, twelve year-old Wilkins would grow frustrated as he neared his opponents’ houses and hotels. Another way around the properties needed to be created. With cardboard, paper and glue, Bob and his friends built a companion board to the original game, with all-new features and a complete set of instructions. Nearly 30 years later, the concept for the game resurfaced and was further developed by Bob and two fellow game enthusiasts.
Super Add-Ons™ Monopoly® Version will be available in toy stores and gift shops throughout North America in 2nd quarter 2005.
